About
With a career in the sales and
marketing of Elk Valley Real Estate that spans nearly 25 years and hundreds of
sales, Deb’s clients have come to enjoy her breadth of knowledge and trust her
expertise and professionalism.
Deb’s expertise is in management,
sales and marketing. Prior to becoming a Realtor® she was a successful sales
representative for a local developer in Fernie selling resort and golf course
properties for nearly 14 years.
Deb is respected by her clients and
her colleagues with her extensive market knowledge and a reputation of the
highest caliber.
Deb is passionate about her work
and places the utmost importance in meeting her client’s needs and making their
experience as stress-free as possible. Her combined creativity, skill level,
expertise (generated through the many years of sales and negotiations) and
honed strategies is what makes her successful.
Deb Trand grew up in the small town of Deep River, Ontario with a population similar to Fernie, BC and with many similar recreational opportunities that she keenly participated in. Her summers were spent sailing, playing tennis and cooling off in the river. In the winters she spent her time skating on the river, competitive swimming at the pool and ski racing every weekend with travel to many of the valley’s ski hills. This experience helped her compete at the World Telemark ski championships in Whistler in later years. After travelling and working around the world for 4 years with her fiancé (at the time), visiting such countries as England, Scotland, France, Nepal, Thailand, Singapore, Indonesia, Australia and New Zealand they were drawn to the mountains and set themselves up in Calgary, Alberta. However, it was after spending four winters of weekend driving to Fernie for those “powder days” at the ski resort and then only one visit during the summer to see how spectacular the recreation and community was in Fernie, that they picked up all their belongings and have made Fernie their home for the past 26 years.
Deb loves adventure and therefore
loves everything about living in the Elk Valley with her family. She enjoys the
many outdoor and cultural opportunities the wonderful town of Fernie provides.
Depending on the season, she tries hard to find the time to engage in alpine,
cross-country or skate skiing, mountain biking, paddling and hiking. You will
often find her in a school gym as well cheering on her teen’s basketball or
volleyball teams. Depending on the client, business meetings can be conducted
remotely, in her office or perhaps in a gym or on ‘the trail’!
